The Capital Markets Regulation Authority’s (CMRA) Privacy Policy outlines how the CMRA collects and uses personal and sensitive information.
Personal and sensitive information that CMRA collects is used:
- for prudential regulation and enforcement activities in respect of the country financial services industry;
- to provide information to those requesting to be on an CMRA mailing list;
- to employ staff, engage contractors and maintain the operations of CMRA in compliance with legislation, rules and guidelines;
- to answer inquiries and process complaints made to CMRA or respond to inquiries from the Ombudsman; and
- in correspondence with overseas regulators.
CMRA is committed to:
- having access to the appropriate information, including personal and sensitive information, to enable CMRA to fulfil its prudential regulatory remit and its obligations as an employer, contractor and government agency;
- ensuring that personal and sensitive information held is accurate and securely maintained; and
- ensuring individuals have a means to access and, if necessary, request the correction of personal and sensitive information held by CMRA.
Visiting CMRA’s website – analytics tools and cookies
Cookies are used by CMRA’s web analytics platform, which is supplied by a third party, to gather and display website traffic data. The information gathered may comprise the IP address of the device used by visitors to the site, as well as information on the sites from which that IP address originated, the pages and documents viewed on the CMRA website, and the next site visited. CMRA utilizes the data to maintain, protect, and enhance the website. Visitors to the CMRA website may opt out of receiving this information by deactivating cookies in their browser.
No effort will be made to identify users or their browsing activity, except in the unusual event that a law enforcement agency obtains a warrant to examine the Internet Service.
